Packaging & Shipping
Each rooted pad is packed carefully to help protect both the cactus and its roots during transit.
Quick Potting Steps
- Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix
- Add pumice or perlite if you have it
- Plant the rooted end just deep enough to keep the pad stable
- Wait 3–5 days before the first watering so disturbed roots can settle
- Water lightly, then water again only when the soil is fully dry
Light & Care
- Outdoors: full sun to partial sun
- Indoors: brightest window available
- Acclimate gradually when moving into strong direct sun
- Water less during winter
- Overwatering is the most common problem
Safety Note
Prickly pear may have small spines or tiny hair-like glochids. Handle with care and wear gloves.
